Film Discussion Series: A History Of Israeli Cinema

Amazon.com: A History of Israeli Cinema: Ronit Elkabetz, Menahem Golan,  Joseph Cedar, Raphael Nadjari: Movies & TV

This two-part film revolves around the evolution of cinema in Israel. Part one, beginning from 1933-1978, focuses on the early Zionist movement and ends with a re-visitation of that period. Part two, picking up at 1978 and continuing to 2005, depicts the more recent personal and political cinema. It tells the story of religious, ethnic, and political conflict throughout the birth and development of the nation. Join Bob Krovetz and Simona Rivkin in the discussion of the film(s).

Sukkah City (2013) - IMDb Sukkah City is a film about the foundation and production of the architectural competition and exhibition of sukkahs. With over 600 submissions, the judges choose 12 innovative, creative, and inspiring sukkahs to display in the exhibit in Union Square, NYC. The exhibition was admired by NYC with over 200,000 visitors in a two-day period. Join us for the discussion with Dave Cohen and Bob Krovetz about the artistic process.
