Seeking Justice

“Tzedek, tzedek tirdof! – Justice, justice shall you pursue!” — Deuteronomy 16:20

The heart and soul of Torah’s call – of God’s call to humanity from Abraham to the present day – is to pursue justice and act righteously. At Temple Beth-El, this is our mission.

We look at the world around us to see where injustice reigns, we listen to the cries for help, and we respond. The world has much in it that is broken. We work to repair it, one mitzvah at a time.

At Temple Beth-El, there are many ways to get involved in the work of social justice, whether through advocacy, direct service, or partnering with local agencies. Everything we do stems from our Jewish values.
