Inviting You to RAC-NJ Community Conversation
We are excited to share that on Sunday August 13, RAC-NJ lead organizer Sarah Blaine will be coming to TBE for a Community Conversation as a first step in bringing the RAC-NJ Learning Together Campaign to our community.
We will meet at 10:00 a.m. to Noon; light breakfast will be provided.
New Jersey has some of the most segregated schools in the country, and is now awaiting a court decision on a suit on this issue. Many of our congregants have engaged in the learning offered through RAC-NJ virtual and in-person programs to educate us on the history, the current disparities, and possible paths forward.
At this meeting we will have the opportunity to discuss our own experiences and views on school integration, and launch TBE involvement in this important campaign. If you would like to attend, please contact Liz Cohen at racnj@templebethelnj.org.
