Temple Beth-El has shown an outpouring of support for our Afghan refugees resettling in our community. Now they need our help in another way! Please take a couple of minutes on February 8th to call your representative and Senators Booker and Menendez, urging them to take action on the Afghan Adjustment Act!
The Afghan Adjustment Act would grant the Afghans evacuated here permanent legal status. Without it, their ability to stay permanently will be significantly harder. Afghans will have to fight through an unnecessary, incredibly complicated, and expensive legal process to be able to stay. It is critical that as many members of Congress hear from as many of us as possible.
