Please join Sisterhood as we honor Liz Cohen, this year’s Woman of Valor. Liz has been lifting the cause of social justice at Temple Beth-El for decades. In her role as the chair of the Social Action Committee — now known as the Tikkun Olam Coalition — she helped bring HOME (then called IHN) to Temple Beth-El, has led countless civic engagement initiatives, and raised the congregation’s awareness of environmental issues, diversity inclusion and so much more.
Liz’s hard work and dedication will be celebrated at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 in the kitchen social hall. The evening will include a catered dinner, wine, beverages and dessert. The event is free for paid-up Sisterhood members. Contact SisterhoodWOV@templebethelnj.org by December 10 to reserve your seat at the dinner.
And as is Sisterhood’s custom, donations for Safe+Sound will be collected at the dinner and matched by Sisterhood. Safe+Sound Somerset is the only organization in Somerset County providing comprehensive services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
