Come join the fun on Sunday, September 12!
We’re gathering to build and decorate the Sukkah and reconnect with our temple family. We’ll supply the craft supplies to make paper chains and other decorations. And there will be lawn games and music — and we’ll all scream for ice cream! Kids of all ages and kids at heart welcome.
If we get rained out on the 12th, the Sukkah building rain date is September 19.
Adults and children alike are welcome to help build the sukkah. No experience necessary — you don’t even have to know how to work power tools which makes this great for kids! This will take you back to your childhood days of Lincoln Logs (except on a bigger scale!). This has always been a fun activity, with many groups within the temple participating. Please bring gloves if you have them, and definitely bring a mask, as we will be limiting the number of volunteers and practicing social distancing. (Vaccination and masks required. Because this event is outside, children who are unable to be vaccinated are welcome to participate with a mask. Fresh disposable surgical masks will be available and are preferred over cloth masks.)
Click HERE to RSVP for building the sukkah or joining us for fun and games.
And we’ll need schach for the sukkah, too. Leafy branches, long bamboo cuttings, evergreens, corn stalks, etc. Items should be at least a few feet long to help make a leafy roof. Leave shach on the side of the patio by the large social hall.
