The holiday of Sukkot begins on October 16.
We’re gathering to build our sukkah on Sunday, October 13.
We will gather in the sukkah as a community on Erev Sukkot on Wednesday, October 16
Adults and children alike are welcome to help build the sukkah. No experience necessary — you don’t even have to know how to work power tools which makes this great for kids! This will take you back to your childhood days of Lincoln Logs (except on a bigger scale!). This has always been a fun activity, with many groups within the temple participating. Please bring gloves if you have them. Sign up here.
And we’ll need schach for the sukkah, too. Leafy branches, long bamboo cuttings, evergreens, corn stalks, etc. Items should be at least a few feet long to help make a leafy roof. Leave schach on the side of the patio by the large social hall by October 13.
