In support of a local charity, the Giving Network, Sisterhood will collect used household items (not clothing) on Sunday morning during religious school May 8.
The Giving Network is an organization that a local church started in 1999 when Manville and Bound Brook were flooded by Hurricane Floyd.  They help local needy families setting up new apartments. They seek practical items such as:
Kitchen items:
Dishes, glassware, utensils, pots/pans
Sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, tablecloths, curtains
Small appliances:
Toasters, microwaves, lamps (no halogen please), irons/ironing boards, vacuum cleaners, blenders, coffeemakers, radios, box fans
Baby gear:
Car seats, high chairs, strollers
(Please no clothing, toys, books, furniture, artwork or decorations)
Note: The Refugee Resettlement team is also holding a drive on May 8: a Mother’s Day Drive collecting supplies for mothers and babies. Click here for more information about that parallel drive.
