Guest Speaker Rabbi Steven Kushner

As part of our year-long celebration honoring Rabbi Arnie Gluck, Rabbi Steven Kushner will join us for Shabbat services as our guest darshan. He will speak on the topic “Human Virtue and the Hidden Message of Sefer B’reishit.”

Rabbi Steven Kushner is rabbi emeritus at Temple Ner Tamid in Bloomfield, New Jersey, where he served as the spiritual leader for nearly four decades. During his long and distinguished tenure, Rabbi Kushner pioneered programming in the areas of adult and early childhood education, social justice, and interfaith outreach.

Rabbi Kushner is a past president of the New Jersey Association of Reform Rabbis, the Coalition of Religious Leaders of New Jersey, the MetroWest Conference on Soviet Jewry, and the Beth El Memorial Foundation of the United Jewish Federation of MetroWest. He was ordained at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati.

In retirement, Rabbi Kushner continues to teach Torah and is pursuing his life-long love of photography.
