When we think of “Safety and Security,” we often think of alarm systems, cameras, and security guards. Actually, the best first layer of safety and security is our community. It is every lay leader, staff member and congregant.
Please consider participating in one of our security training sessions (Sept. 14, 17, or 21) with the Hillsborough Police, JFED Security, and our safety volunteers. The session is designed to prepare our Shomrim for their volunteer task. Others are also welcome. The more aware and informed we are as a community, the better prepared we will be if something unexpected occurs.
Situational Awareness
Learn how to recognize suspicious or potentially dangerous behavior and threats.
Standard Response Protocol
Learn the nomenclature and expected actions we use at TBE so you can respond during an emergency situation.
Countering an Active Threat
We’ll cover steps to take during an active threat event.
