Preparing Your Heart for the Holy Days
with Rabbi Gluck

The High Holy Days are a time of turning and returning. To what and from what shall we seek to turn? What does it mean for us to return, especially in these extraordinary times? Over two sessions, Rabbi Gluck will guide us in exploring the themes of the Holy Days and their meaning for our lives today.

Melodies of the Machzor
with Cantor Wallach

The music of the Jewish calendar endows each season of the year with a unique sound texture. The Yamim Nora’im, Days of Awe, are replete with their own melodic signatures and traditional melodies that evoke powerful sense memories and emotion. Join Cantor Wallach in exploring the historic Ashkenazi chant patterns of the High Holy Days, as well as melodies and songs that are commonly heard at this time of year. We will sing together or individually as online gathering allows, and share samples of this beautiful, inspiring music.

Young Family Holiday Boxes

We’re delighted to offer craft boxes to enhance the holiday experience for our families with young children. Each box will contain craft materials, recipes, a children’s book, educational materials to help teach children (or grandchildren) about the holidays, and more.

More cooking fun! TBE congregant Larry Osman (of local Schlumpia fame) will guide you in preparing a most delicious entree for your special holiday meals. What a disappointment that smell-a-vision hasn’t been created yet!

TBE Reads “Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption”
