What is Mussar? Mussar is a traditional Jewish path of spiritual development that leads to awareness, wisdom, and transformation. It is a treasury of teachings and practices that help guide individuals in revealing and releasing the light of holiness that lives within.
How is Mussar practiced? Knowledge alone does not develop, change, or transform us on our journey toward holiness. Though the pathway starts with learning, the learning needs to be brought to life. Spiritual practices help embed learning in the heart so that it becomes part of who we are and how we act in the world.
Join Sarah Gluck for a five-week exploration of the Mussar spiritual tradition. Each 90-minute session will include facilitated group learning and discussion, practice, breakout conversation, and a look ahead to the next session. This course is suitable for beginners and anyone who has taken A Taste of Mussar or Seeking Everyday Holiness. Please contact Sarah Gluck for more information.
